To be eligible for a CPL in Michigan, you must:

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Be a U.S. citizen or legal alien.
• Be a resident of Michigan for at least six months.
• Have no felony convictions.
• Have no misdemeanor convictions in the past eight years (three years for some misdemeanors).
• Not be diagnosed with a mental illness that deems you a danger to yourself or others.
• Have never been involuntarily committed for a mental illness.
• Not have been dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces.

Range instruction is scheduled at Center Mass Inc., located at 33825 Plymouth Rd., Livonia, MI 48150. We plan to depart for the range around 10:00 a.m. The range location is subject to change, so please confirm with us closer to your class date.

Please bring a notebook, pen, and wear closed-toed shoes. Long-sleeved shirts and a hat are recommended to protect against hot casings. If you have your own eye protection, feel free to bring it; otherwise, it will be provided, along with ear protection radios for communication at the range.

Please do not bring your own firearms to the class or range unless you've received a specific exception from us. If given an exception, ensure the firearm is unloaded, in a locked container, and stored in your vehicle's trunk or another area inaccessible to all occupants. No ammunition is allowed.

Not at all! Our classes are designed for all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned shooters looking to refine their skills.

The class runs for approximately 8 hours, covering everything from handgun fundamentals, safety practices, and legal aspects of concealed carry, to hands-on range time. It's a comprehensive course aimed at building your competence and assurance in handling firearms.

Your safety is our top priority. All classes are conducted following strict safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and operation of firearms. Range time is supervised closely by your certified instructor to ensure a safe and educational experience.

Upon successful completion of the course and receiving your certification, we'll guide you through the steps necessary to apply for your CPL with your county. The process includes submitting your certificate, completing an application, getting your fingerprints and undergoing a background check.

The total course cost is $135, covering everything from firearm rental, ammunition, range time, ear & eye protection, materials, instruction, and certification. If you'd like to book a private class, please contact us directly for pricing. If you're shopping around for pricing, be sure to ask if the firearm rental, ammunition and range time are included. It is common to have these costs hidden or undisclosed until the day of your class. We offer the best value for your money with no hidden costs.

Absolutely! We offer private, semi-private, and group classes to fit your needs. Private classes can even be held at your home for your convenience. Contact us for more details and to arrange a session that works best for you.

All sales are final. Cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled course can be reschedule for a future date.
